Orbit ™ is the brand name for a series of HPLC columns from MZ-Analysentechnik GmbH , which are specially optimized for the requirements of routine analysis. The phases are based on a highly pure and ultra-stable state-of-the-art 100Å silica gel with an almost perfect spherical particle shape and are largely chemically and mechanically inert. As a result, Orbit ™ HPLC columns enable excellent chromatographic separation performance with symmetrical peaks and high reproducibility. The PerfectSil ™ product line from MZ-Analysentechnik GmbH contains many high-quality HPLC columns for demanding and reproducible separations. The base material is a high-purity, spherical silica gel, which is available with a wide range of different modifications. Due to the low phase bleeding, the columns can also be used in LC-MS applications.
PerfectSil ™ columns are available with different pore sizes. A mean pore size of 100 Å or 120 Å for PerfectSil 100 or PerfectSil 120 is suitable for analytes ≤ 2 to 5 kDa.
PerfectSil ™ 300 are various wide-pore phases for HPLC that have been specially developed with a pore size of 300 Å for the analysis of larger biomolecules. The PerfectSil ™ 300 HPLC columns are used worldwide for the investigation of peptides, proteins and antibodies. They are also ideal as an alternative to Grace Vydac TP columns.
